The Henry’s Fork Legacy Project

Goal:

Preserve the ecological integrity of the Upper Henrys Fork Watershed including important habitats, wildlife, river corridors, and other landscape scale natural values.

Objectives:

Fully implement HFLP campaign to expand local leader and citizen support. Ensure that HFLP partners are effectively carrying out their conservation activities in a coordinated, synergistic manner.

Outcomes:

Future West will serve as a co-coordinator of this multi-agency/organization effort. The Legacy’s projects include:

Land protection through conservation easements
“Living with Wildlife” education programs
Support for land use planning and environmentally sensitive development

Partners:

Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative, Teton Regional Land Trust, Henry’s Fork Foundation, Wildlife Conservation Society, USFWS, US Forest Service, BLM, Idaho Fish and Game, Idaho Department of Lands, Greater Yellowstone Coalition.
